Violin Music Note Peg Match

A$10.00

This game can be played by one player, or in a group if each player has their own indivdual set.

To play this game you will need several pegs. Write on the pegs the finger numbers from G0 to E4, and also the letter names for each of the notes. There are vaious ways you can do this. You can use one peg for the finger numbers and another for the letter names. To do this you will need 40 pegs per set. You could also write the finger number on one side of the peg and the letter name on the other side of the peg. To do this you will need 20 pegs per set.

Print out the cards and cut the levels into strips. I also recommend laminating them because the paper could be damaged with the pegs.

Ask the violin student to peg the corresponding peg (or pegs) to match the note on the side of each strip.

This is a perfect activity for students in a group of varying levels as each student could be working on a strip corresponding to their current knowledge of note reading.

This is a perfect quiet activity for students to work on individually - perhaps while you’re helping one student at a time with their technique.
